[tri-med] Fw: Nitey nite Devon???????

Hi All :o)
The message I have pasted below is from our beloved genetic counselor,
Heather :o) I have just gotten off the phone with her and we have now caught
up :o)....and she told me alot more about the Melatonin and how much to give
Devon. I DID buy Melatonin a while back and tried to find out the proper
dosage from a number of medical professionals and none would give me an
answer...they seemed to kind of poo poo the idea if ya know what I mean.
Heather said that a large percentage of doctors just don't believe in the
Melatonin because it's more an herbal/homeopathic remedy. We would MUCH
rather go the homeopathic remedy if we can. So here's what we're doing...I'm
shelving the Ambien until we give the Melatonin a 2 1/2 week trial. I will
be smashing one 3 mg melatonin tablet and mixing it in a teeny bit of
applesauce (I can get a spoonful of applesauce into him even if he's
sleeping :o) and giving it to him every evening before bedtime. It would be
soooooooo great if Devon could be in the 50% of kids that it works on :o)
I'll keep ya posted :o)
Love,
Penny
