[tri-med] Re: Fear of Mails...Karen

I won't claim to be afraid to open it, just
don't feel like wasting my time doing it
daily. I'll glance at it maybe, and then
save it up to open, sort & deal with weekly.
Most of it is credit cards, loan offers, &
other assorted junk any way, and goes into
the recycling can. Might as well haul a
bunch out all at once....

Now phone calls are another thing. I do
screen calls with on-line call forwarding
or an answering machine when I'm not on-line.
It started because we just could never seem
to get to the phone in time to answer it
around here. But now I realize that I get
so many fewer solicitation calls this way
that I just continue doing it. Then the
good and important calls get prioritized to
answer. I really can't bring myself to do
the phone tag thing on a daily basis. If
it's Philina's teacher I speak to her. If
it's a work message for Doug, I take the
call. If it's for Lara I'll take a message,
or take the phone to her. But if it's for
me, all bets are off.....current backlog,
Children's Home Care to place this months
order for Philina's KinderCal that I really
don't need any more of right now, to schedule
the next worthless neuro appointment, to
call back the guy we bought the llamas from
(who calls every few months to see if we're
ready to buy anymore...we're not), the
school attendance office who makes me call
daily when she's out, and my son about
watching Philina Sunday afternoon. Guess
who I'm calling back first.....

Fawna, mom to Philina (PT6p)
