Not compulsive - yet - I wish I was!!!! I still have to make myself do it
and will procrastinate unless I say to myself just DO IT!!! The stupid part
is that I do it with stuff that I know is GOOD news!!!!

And then if I get a less than pleasant/positive message/mail (eg someone
left a message last night that I had forgotten to collect something) leaves
me feeling so flat - even though I know that the person is not in the least
way upset and that it certainly isn't the end of the world.

And your more than welcome to the free consult :-) I remember many years ago
when someone mailed me off list to ask what to do about feeling depressed.
They didn't want to post to the list because everyone was so upbeat. I told
them to mail to the list because I knew for a fact that there were many in
the same boat - and I was right. We had many a therapeutic discussion on
depression in the fun park afterwards - and the best bit was that this
person didn't feel so alone. Thats why so many old timers on the list will
laugh about Vitamin Z (the anti-depressent Zoloft) There is not much that
one of us can post that someone else hasn't been through a similar
experience. Didn't expect to find someone else with a mail phobia - but it
sure is nice to know that I am not the only one.

Now Steph I have been out all morning - want to check my answering machine
for me :-)) So far I am resoning it with scanning my mail and making a cup
of tea first...... told you I am BAD. Then it will be that Alex is in the
room (must have privacy) and believe me I will find some more LOL
