<<How is Faren coping with the chemo??>>
She is doing great!! WE have not noticed too much discomfort from the
treatments. Her counts are still real good too, but we're keeping her away
from sick people. No need for her to deal with more than she has to. The
treatments are real easy too. We have been going in on monday's to the
cancer center at St. Louis Children's Hospital. The nurse will access
Faren's cath real quick(Faren gets a little startled, but doesn't ever cry)
and then they "push" the chemo drugs in. It's all done in a very short
time, which is good. Next monday may take a little longer cause they will
want to wait for her counts to come back first before they give her one of
the meds that causes the counts to go down. She only gets that one, the
ActD I'll call it, every 3 treatments. It also causes nausea, whereas the
other drug doesn't, but we have a med to counteract it which seemed to work
well last time.
<<And how are you and Rick holding up???>>
We are doing well but we could really use a vacation!!!
<<I think of you guys soooo often - and you have been a little on the
quiet
side, with no poems so I am a concerned mum...................>>
We think of you too : )) And about the poems, all input that goes into my
brain could become a poem. And of course that means I'd post them on the
list(whether anyone likes it or not! : ), but I don't want to scare the
newbies : )) I'll try to whip one up real soon cause....
I'm always itchin to get out of the kitchen and write up poem for you...
About flowers and trees and butterfly wings and the twinkle of the fresh
morning dew...
About the colors of the rainbow, red, green, and blue, maybe a little
different shade or a little different hue....
Or the sweet smell of carrots in my moms beef stew.........
This poem's going crazy with the ending sound of "oo"....
So let me be swift when I say "Mum, you're the greatest, and I know your
love is true" : )))))))
<<Sending a hug whether you need it or not :-))>>
Hugs always needed! Thanx for the enquiry.
Michelle Wilson, mother to Faren and wife to Rick
