. She was so content, especially
in Mommy and Daddy's arms. Her apnea spells started increasing and she
seemed
to be getting uncomfortable - probably from her omphalocele. They had to
take
out her IV because it started leaking. She had a major apnea around 8:30am
where her oxygen saturation was down to 1 and 0 for a long time - probably
10
minutes. She was on my chest - skin to skin. So we unhooked the monitor
because we thought that was it. But then, the little fighter started
breathing
again and went back up in the 90's! Her breathing seemed more labored and
uncomfortable so we gave her a shot of morphine. She took a nap in Daddy's
arms and then had another big apnea spell where again we thought she was
saying goodbye - and up again she came. Then finally, she had another one
where she finally let go at 1:40 pm. She rested safely in her Daddy's arms.
It
was so hard and sad to see her go. We are so thankful for the 4 good days we
had with her but as a lot of you know - the pain can seem unbearable. We
know
she has arrived at her true home in heaven, but we miss her so much. She was
such a blessing to us.
The Lord is faithful.
