LOL We had 2 dogs (my step-dogs, they came into the marriage with Jim). By
the time Alex was 4 both had passed away. We simply didn't replace them.
Maggie went when Alex was not quite 3.5 yrs and Cassie when he was approx. 4
yrs and 4 months.
Around that time we took Alex to his first Circus and it almost killed
him......literally....we had to rush out of there with him wheezing and
struggling to breathe. And we weren't anywhere near the animals themselves.
And if we went to a house where they had a cat, same thing. Or into a
vehicle with somebody who rode horses and there was "horse
residue"........same thing.
All that said, these days Alex doesn't have NEARLY the trouble with
allergies as he used to. Outgrowing them????? We were told that many
children do.
Right now we're dealing with the Spring allergies.......the rotting,
molding, beginning of pollination season where everything is wet and dead
and/or trying to come back to life. In the past 2 weeks Alex has needed his
antihistamines a little more than half the time.
