[tri-med] FW: Re: Full Trisomy 17 baby Michael has passed away

Theresa, May God grant you peace and rest assured that Michael is there in 
heaven to greet Gabrielle, a little baby from my neighborhood that was born 
into this world to only spend 2 hours.  She had Full Trisomy 13.  In that 2 
hours, she was loved and cared for by her mother, grandmother, grandfather, and 
aunts and many many friends.  I have just returned home from her funeral this 
morning.  We all question why can't they stay longer?  In God's plan, sometimes 
all it takes for his angels to teach us is a couple hours or a few days.  We 
are left with a message of love and caring that will last many lifetimes. This 
is from the program at Gabrielle's going home celebration. "WHAT MAKES A 
MOTHER?" I though of you baby Gabrielle; I closed my eyes and prayed to God 
today.I asked what makes a Mother and I know I heard Him say, "A Mother has a 
baby this we know is true."But God, can you be a Mother when your baby's not 
with you? "Yes, you can!: He replied with confidence in His voice."I give many 
women babies when they leave is not their choice." "Some I send for a lifetime 
and others for a day;and some I send to feel your womb but there's no need to 
stay." I just don't understand this God, I want my baby here.He took a breath 
and cleared His throat and then I saw a tear. "I wish I could show you what 
Gabrielle is doing today.If you could see your child smith with other children 
and say, We go to earth to lear our lessons of love and life and fear, my mommy 
loved me oh so much I got to come straight here. I feel so lucky to have a Mom 
who had so much love for me,I learned my lesson very quick my mommy set me 
free. I miss my mommy oh so much, but I visit her every day.When she goes to 
sleep on her pillow is where I lay, I stroke her hair and kiss her cheek and 
whisper in her ear,Mommy don't be sad today I'm your baby and I'm here." "So 
you see my dear sweet on, Gabrielle is ok, your baby girl is here in my home 
and this is where she'll stay. Gabrielle will wait for you with me until your 
lesson is through and on the day that you come home she will be at the gates 
for you. So now you see what makes a Mother--its the feeling in your heart,its 
the love you had so much of right from the very start. Though some on this 
earth may not realize that you are a Mother until their time is done,they will 
be up here with me one day and know you're the best one."  Your baby Michael 
taught you more about life and love than most people would learn in their 
lifetimes.  Cherish the moments he was given to you and spread his message of 
love to everyone that surround you.  You are in my thoughts and prayers as is 
every family that grieves from the loss of a beloved child.   Sincerely,
