[tri-med] Extra symbols in posts?

Question--where do the extra symbols come from in some posts?  My posts
didn't used to do that, but now they do.  Is it a certain program or
something?  Our computer crashed a number of weeks ago, and things have =
been
a bit different w/ our programs and stuff, but I'm still using Outlook =
like
I always have.  We may have a new internet protection program, but I'm =
not
sure.  Anybody know?
