my bec gets very agitated with codeine. after her gallbladder surgery we had
to back off of everything and ended up she was quite comfortable, with no
agitation on just reg tylenol. She also had atelecstasis (sp)and was
desating, but this too was because of the pain meds more than anything else.

Yesterday, Ella had a g-tube placement and all went well.  After surgery,
she got agitated (they think because of the pain) and her sats dropped and
they had to intubate her.  Her sats keep falling now and they are stumped as
to why.  Anyone have any words of wisdom for them?
