Hi Michelle,
>>If it's steroid free what is is????<<
The main ingredient in Elidel cream is pimecrolimus. The dr gave us a bunch of
samples to try back in June and I like it for her. She hasn't had any side
effects from it. Their website is www.elidel.com great info and I think rebate
available on it(they sent me $5 off script price) and does require a script.
One of her doctor's appt this week is for her weight and will run the high fat
by him. I have noticed a drop in her appetite. She's not taking in the 3 cans
of Pediasure like she did prior last weekend before the seizures, nor eating
solids as before. Neurologist blamed the ceftin, I blame the meds... esp
tegretol.
>>Do you need a prescription for it or is it OTC?<<
Mederma is over the counter at most stores now. Haven't tried the generic store
brands, but Mederma is great! Catch it on sale at CVS/Walgreens alot, you can
pit one store against the other to honor sale price in their ads LOL : ) Ealier
in the year they offered rebates on it also. Seriously I have seen it on eBay,
but usually s/h charges urged me to drive to the store.
Pamela ~ mom to Savannah, teenager, I'll say no more, Faith 4 and Genevieve, 13
months old : ) (46,XX, dup inv ins 5 (q31.3; q35.1q34), missed amnio)
