[tri-med] Ears to hear and all that

Putting out some feelers.....
I've been following some of the discussion on hearing, ears, et all,
and wanted to delve into that a little more since we've been getting
Keren's ears evaluated. We've got an ENT who seems to have a good feel
for the structure of Keren's ears--ie tiny canals, but seem to be
intact except that there seems to be hard plate behind the ear drums.
Anyway, he doesn't want to do anything more physically with them for a
year or so till they're a little bigger, but he would like to evaluate
her hearing at this point and get us into the hearing aid routine as
needed. Anyway, we're good with that, but I'm curious if anyone else
has run into that "hard plate" thing in the ear, or what other
characteristics our triers might have. Also, I think it was Karen who
mentioned "glue ear" recently and I was wondering what that was.

So anyway, just curious!
