Donn and Caty just got back home. Caty changed her mind again because
she doesn't want to be catherized and IV'd. She was complaining that she
HAD to go to school tomorrow, even though the doctor's note that they
got at the doctor's office today says she can go back to school on
Wednesday (last day of school before Christmas break.)
So, since she doesn't have any real dehydration symptoms we are going to
push the Gatorade and crackers and if she still hasn't peed by morning
Donn will take her to the hospital. And, NO, even if she pees she is NOT
going to school. Of course after he talked to me and we agreed on that
and he turned around she started complaining AGAIN about how bad she was
feeling. Donn is about ready to throttle her (FIGURE OF SPEECH!!!! He
wouldn't do anything like that.) He's just so darn frustrated, as I am.
And then she gets all upset because she doesn't feel well but she
doesn't want to go to get taken care of.
I told Donn, and I think Caty heard me, that I think the next decision
about her treatment needs to be made by the adults based on what we
think it best REGARDLESS of what the kid wants. Hopefully that will
happen.
