[tri-med] Re: Doctors who wanted to let child die did not act illegally

I have been writing to Oprah on her website trying to get her to do a show on
trisomies. I haven't been gettting any response. I think that it does deserve
some attention from the media to bring this to the public eye. Back in Feb. I
wrote to so many newspapers and news show but again I couldn't get a single one
to respond. Anyone interested in helping out? I think if we have enough
people writing to Oprah or some news program like 60 min's, 20/20, 48 hours
etc, we might get some where. I am also considering in my spare time (LOL)
touching base with my government officals to see if I can get something done
that way. I believe we can get some where with a show of numbers. Anyone here
in the states could help me out with this question. How is it going to effect
us if at all should they get it passes the anti abortion laws. I consider
myself pro choice for the most part. But I am curious on how the medical
professionals will handle it with the trisomies if they ban partial birth
abortions or abortions period. Tina

You didn't speak out of line. I feel the same way you do. It's just that those
blank, blank, blank doctors seem to all ways have the last say. They actually
wrote that either my husband and I were in denial or we just didn't understand
the severity of the case. In other words, we were too stupid to understand
those highly educated eggheads. Sometimes, they can't see the situation because
of their education.

Tina and Annette, I'm sorry if I spoke out of line....and sorry if you guys
were treated like that....I just truly hope that I never have to be in a
situation like that.
