Laurie,
Morgan just recently got over a a bought with a virus.
 He ran a fever of 103.5 and it was up and down for
about 5 days.  But he had no other symptoms, just a
fever and run down.  I took him to the dr. after 3
days and he said to wait a couple more days (long
enough for an ordinary virus to have run its course)
Sure enough after the 5th day it was gone.  Morgan had
a fever like that one other time with no other real
symptoms.  Hope this helps, and hope Briana gets to
feeling better.
