[tri-med] Re: Cysts

OH gosh---life is so busy and crazy lately!!!! Let me scream for a
moment!!!!!

   From Karen:
   Therese how is Natalia now??

A recap:
Well, this thing has been here since spring...and growing...looking big
and uncomfortable and at times it seemed to bug her, we went for the
surgery last Friday, "NOT"---they did tests, pushed on it a bit and
aggravated the thing...

I'll spare you the last week...but as of this morning, we have seen
the Doc 2x's since
Friday...

Today I sent her to school with it oozing a bit---not
bad.....smelly...yuk! (She's on antibiotics--but obviously they aren't
doing the trick!) It is as big as ever, flaming red I think we need to
go back in this afternoon. She isn't running a temp, (ah -well a
degree up but that isn't unusual)
She is happy as a clam unless you try to touch it...She is keeping her
glasses on ok...so she is dealing with it...I have to give tylenol
about once a day and that is it!

We are having Stephen's mother's funeral tomorrow AM but I think I may
be in surgery...I don't know...Anyhow, the meds the doc presciribed
last Friday weren't covered with insurance, so we were given something
else....and now the new prescription I got yesterday is not covered
either...not formulary they say....Well, "obviously the cheap ones
aren't working" Thanks Pacificare!!!!...I'm a bit bugged right now...

I've got to make some phone calls...

Well here is a bit of good news....
This little rascal is walking pretty good in the reverse-k walker...We
took a walk Tuesday afternoon down the street...7 houses...(14 round
trip) She loves to walk to music...so there I was singing all the
nursery rhymes I could think of with Natalia keeping step to every
beat...(several breaks on the way I might add). At one point, I grabbed
her left hand and there we were walking hand in hand....she was
steering the walker perfectly and holing on with her right hand...
(Almost my dream!!!) To be able to walk hand in hand with my
daughter!! It felt great!!! This will work for me.....Dream achieved!!
  :)

Well I've got to go....
Thanks Karen again for this great forum to connect with other Trisomy
families...May God bless you abundantly!!!!

ThereseAnn mom to Natalia t13 5 yrs.
