[tri-med] Re: Computer & Neuro Consult Woes

Hi Gang,

My computer lives on.....

The boy child has resurfaced, and simply renamed
the new dial-up connection I made. So now it's
recognized, and works perfectly.

Last week I also finally took the girl for her
Moya Moya consult. Not my choice of doctors,
remember. Some days you just know it doesn't
pay to bother to even get out of bed. And this
was certainly one of them. Even though Fire
Dog/Leo Dr Carey had already ruined my previous
hypothesis that water signs make for the best
doctors, I still raised an eye brow at this Iron
Rabbit/Aquarian, after running her birth chart.
And then this clinched it....

Never ask for advice unless you really want it.
Indeed, even if you do really want it, think twice.
Get advice about whether or not you should get
advice. Bear in mind that all advice givers have
vested interests; points to prove, axes to grind.
You are now listening too carefully to a particular
person?s opinion. Of course it is valid but then so
too, is your own take on a situation that is difficult
to read. And frankly, you know far more about it than
any of the so-called experts. It?s not so much advice
you need, as just objectivity. When your perspective
is clear, everything else will become obvious.

Her North Node (17 Sag) is conj my Asc. Okay, sounds
good.....oops, but that also makes her South Node conj.
my 7th cusp.....iffy....baggage from the past tied to
 this relationship?

Her Sun is only 1 minute from Philina's....too cool,
and they did connect very nicely, but that makes both
of their Aquarius 1 Suns exactly square my Venus/Ceres/
Jupiter conjunction. (SOS, Super Mom about to crash and
 burn...may day, may day....check!!!)

66 degrees between our Mercury's. Kinda wide for a
sextile, so wasn't counting on good clear communication.
But it really could have be worse.....check, about as
 clear as mud.

She has Sun opp Uranus natally

Or as Astrodienst describes this: "You have a strong need
to do everything your own way, and the more that other
people try to get you to do something their way, the more
you resist. You are likely to be rather rebellious toward
authority figures or anyone else who tries to restrict your
 freedom of movement."

Looks like Anybirthday.com's data for her is accurate.....

Her Pluto/Jupiter is conj my Pandora.....

Equates to getting more then I bargained for in the way of a
big change from her: And I think knowing less now, then I
thought I did, when I walked in the door, would qualify.

About a year ago when they ran the MRA we were given a verbal
report on it's findings. Basically that they were consistent
with Moya Moya Syndrome. That the blood supply lines in her
neck were too narrow, and she was totally missing the vessel
through the center of her brain, so had set up her own system
of capillaries to move the blood and oxygen around.

The story I was told by this doctor at the consult: Moya Moya
isn't substantiated, only suspected. she's missing the supply
lines in her neck, and only has the one from the back.

Oh yeah??? I got the date of the report from her, so hope to
eventually get to see a copy of it. She wasn't offering....

Moving on, told her about the neurologist at the Chicago SOFT
clinic putting her on a daily children's aspirin as a precaution,
and that her cardiologist said that was okay. She said that was
 fine.

I told her about her other doctor's concerns about taking her
back into the operating room unless we addressed this problem
first. She says there's nothing else that can be done.

Oh yeah????, she reiterates. I'd already told her I'd read up
on the surgical interventions for Moya Moya. About this time
I figure if she's not open to even discuss those, she's sure
not gonna like to hear about the possibility that hyperbaric
oxygenation therapy might be beneficial. Bite my lip and save
myself another "Eastern Medicine Whacko" label.

She wants to know if we currently even have any surgery planned.

Nooooo, but that's why I'm here now, to discus this while it's
not critical, instead of waiting until it is.....

 .....a novel concept evidently....

Bottom line all I walked away from this appointment with was
confusion on her actual diagnosis, but the date of the report,
a request from her that we come back to see her every 6 months
for follow-up, and the recommendation that we stop the aspirin
prior to any planned surgical procedures....well DUH....how
long before do you recommend? And I quote, "I don't know, ask
 whoever's going to be operating!"
