[tri-med] Complications??? 4th day on Starttera

Hello All.
Presently I am sitting here second guessing myself and nervous and scared :(
Let me recap.

Devon woke up normal silly self this morning. He ate well also. When I gave
him his pill I was just congratulating myself on getting it down him the
first time. I have to place it far back in the middle of his tongue and give
him a drink right away. Just as I was telling Joe he took it very well.he
started choking and coughing. After about 30-45 seconds he coughed it out in
my hand.partially broken open. After waiting for him to stop coughing for a
minute I got it in him again and this time he swallowed it and it stayed
down. BUT.the coughing started again..wet sounding/flemmy. Normally this
wouldn't freak me out too bad.but he got tired soon after.and still kept
coughing every little bit. I DID get him roused and playing with me a little
and therefore let him get on the bus.although with trepidation. I couldn't
get Mary's little Richard out of my head (what happened the day he passed
away last week). I prayed continuously all day.and cried too at times
worrying about him. I waited for school to call me.but they didn't. He came
home and although he had a good day.they did comment on a wet cough. He has
also fallen asleep tonight before dinner. Although he DID request his bath
at the usual time and he did get a little silly when we went through our
usual "Devon get up and step out of the tub" routine.he likes to lay back
and giggle at me when I get exasperated with him :o) Not that I'm worried
about him wasting away with missing a meal.NOT a concern. I have listened to
his lungs and to my untrained ear he sounds ok. I AM going to get our pulse
ox unit out and see what his O2 sats are. I'm scared he aspirated :o( But no
fever so far. He's just kind of subdued and tired.just not himself. Could it
be because the pill opened up.that happened yesterday but didn't make him
sleepy any earlier??? Could it be it just wore him out this morning and
irritated his throat??? I'm not positive it's upper airway wet stuff or not?
Could it be he's getting the cold his teacher has had for at least a week?
As it stands right now.I'm going to check his O2 sats.if they aren't
good.question solved.we go immediately to ER. If his sats are ok.I don't
expect to sleep well tonight and will see how he is in the morning. If still
acting unDevonly.I'm not going to work and will be taking him to his
Pediatrician or the ER..depends on how panicked I am????

I'm just scared silly right now and don't know what to do???? HELP!!!!!!!
