[tri-med] Re: Communication Devices

Tess has used switches too, but she also tends to bang them. She 
often does not make eye contact with the switch either. I got an old 
switch toy out the other day when she was here. It was a car 
dashboard. It has a steeering wheel, which plays notes when turned 
and several other buttons, that say "buckle up" or "we're going to 
school", or plays nursery rhymes. Tess likes it for a short time, but 
would prefer that I do all the work. She will only make an effort to 
push them if I walk away for a while. If I'm not close by she will 
push it off the tray and onto the floor.
