[tri-med] Re: Communication Devices

Kaiya has an activation switch that she uses with some of her toys. Her switch
activates with a really light touch (even though she bangs on it a lot of the
time...) When she is presented with new switches, like the ones they use in
therapy or at school, she is really hesitant to touch them. I guess they are
looking for one that has a light touch and voice output.

Richard did have a "big" switch. It let him turn things on and off, and it
was easy to use. He could turn it on with his foot or hand, which ever was
closer. The goal was to get him where he could use a communication device.
