Good luck on THAT Kelly!

You've met Miss P, and NOTHING quieted her down. Not learning to sign. Not
using
PEC's. Not even using a communication device, when she had one at school.
In fact
for her, a communication device was just a new way to be noisy..."I want a
coke, I
want a coke, I want a coke, I want a coke, I want a coke, I want a..." ad
nauseum
<wee pained grin> ;)

Now that she's an adult, Regional Center has offered to buy her very own
communication
device, but she'd drive her dad up the walls with it if they did. Case in
point: She
use to have a small electric organ that his step mom had given her. It sat
in one corner
of our dining area at the old house. She loved that thing! Banged on it so
much that
eventually it developed a note that stayed on continuously when the switch
was in the on
position. Perfect as far as she was concerned, because then she could just
turn it on
and walk away to make other noise else where in the house. Well it took a
while to drive
the man to it, but eventually he drug it out on to the patio and took his
sledge hammer
to it. Better IT than her, I say...
