Yep - its the caffeine that we give it to him for - caffeine is a stimulant 
and one can of coke is equal to a cup of coffee. Caffeine is used in 
premature infants to stimulate their breathing........ I wont allow him top 
drink things like Red Bull though!!

And BTW Alex suffers from attention deficit problems (AD) but definitely no 
hyperactivity (the HD part). The attention problems most probably come from 
so many cardiac and respiratory arrests. Most he has recovered from in time 
but we feel that there have been some residual problems. Of course it could 
just be because he is male - so many males have trouble focusing on anything 
thats not on TV or a Play Station- and thats the master to a T :-)))
