[tri-med] Caris Niki Bell

Dear Friends

Caris was born this afternoon (31 July) at 2:20pm and weighed in at 1.79kg
ad 48cm in length.

As expected, she had massive complications and was fighting for her life
from her first breath. She managed to keep herself going for 4 hours and 35
minutes when she passed away in high-care in the arms of her mommy and
daddy.

She will be sorely missed.

Occasionally when you look into the night skies you see a shooting star.
It's life is short-lived, but the beauty of that one life makes everyone
pause to look and wonder. Caris (whose name means "grace") was one such
life. The length of this mailing list and the number of emails in her own
little folder on my desktop testify to the fact that her life touched the
lives of many and elicited a great deal of prayer and deep reflection on the
really difficult issues of life.

"The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be
praised." Job 1:21b

We are grateful to our Heavenly Father for the mercies He has shown us at
this difficult time, not least of all being your love, support and words of
encouragement and earnest prayers on our behalf. We thank Him for each and
every single one of you!
