[tri-med] Re: Candace heart surgery

Kim,

Elanor had her PDA fixed when she was 6 months old, and we were very
worried. It was her first surgery, and we had no idea how she would do.
She ended up only staying a few days to a week after the procedure, and it
wasn't much of a big deal. She was only about 7 lbs at that time, and very
fragile. It's actually a very common procedure and they do it w/ scopes.
In Elanor's case they went in the back under her left shoulder blade, and
there is only a very tiny scar that you would have to look for now. It's
scary to have any kind of surgery done, but if it's any consolation, this is
a pretty routine one, from what I've heard!

We will be praying for you!

Jennifer, mom to Arwen, 9; Elanor, 7 (T18); caregiver to Joe 27, and Eric,
20 (both w/ CP); and wife to Andrew.
