[tri-med] Re: CHLORAL HYDRATE EXPERIENCES/knowledge? important

I wish there were some sort of database/chart type thing that showed how
different drugs affect our kids differently. If I had been paying more
attanting I would have pulled the info and charted it myself.=20

Would that be of use????? What I'm thinking is something like drug name =
and
dosage - reaction - child's age, sex and base diagnosis. I'd be =
interested
in both the drugs that work and the ones that don't. I know that the =
info
will be all over the place since every one reacts differently, but I'd =
kind
of like to be able to show that to our doctors!=20

Oh, when you use that name it rings a bell! It is also called Ativan and
this is the one that the respirologist got so angry about when the
neurologist prescribed it, so it is on Bec's forbidden list, as is =
nitrous
oxide (laughing gas) as this caused a full seizure on the first whiff.
Currently the anaethetist feels she must have desated very quickly. =
Nitrous
oxide must be accompanied with breathing support as Becca does not =
breath as
expected.
