[tri-med] Brianna in ICU

Dear List Friends, 
What a nice feeling to know so many of you care about my special girl and 
have been sending such encouraging words to our family. Brianna is in ICU. They 
couldn't get her fever down last night......the doctor said she'd never seen a 
high fever go long =(
Today it is down to 102 and they are happy with that!  She needed 3 units of 
blood. Thank God for donors!!

She was just taken off the respirator this morning. She's coming around and 
wanting to sit up. They sedated her more for comfort and she is resting and 
looking very peaceful. Her breathing is being assisted by CPAP.......but just a 
little!! =)

on a super-cute note......Brianna must have been in deep 'la-la land' all 
yesterday and last night........she was sucking on her breathing tube like a 
pacifier. One nurse commented that she'd never seen a child do that. She told 
me I 
had my baby back!! LOL. It was nice knowing she was comported by 
sucking......just like a baby.....heck, she had her pacifier until she was 6 
yrs old. It 
was so precious watching her last night!
