[tri-med] Re: Breast Feeding - Irene

Irene: I feel exactly the same way . . . the doctors just kind of took over
and breast feeding was last on their list. I did try to pump forever but my
milk supply just didn't hold up. Maybe I wasn't taking care of myself. I
thought about this for years. It was so long before Soleah could even drink
from a bottle though, I don't know if I could have held up pumping that long .

I think one of my big problems in the early days was that I let the dr's
take over just a little too much. They almost made me feel like Caroline
was their baby and they were the "boss". They didn't seem too interested or
concerned about breastfeeding because of her other "potential" issues, so I
didn't ask or persist.

produces perserverance; and perserverance, character; and character, hope.
