my daughter Nejoud (18-months) had her brain MRI at about 8-months old as an
outpatient procedure. She had a general anaesthesia but as a result of that she
had a bad reaction. She was incubated and spent 7-days in the hospital
recovering from it. We almost lost her and any time she has a procedure
requiring anaesthesia we ask for local if possible. We did have it in Baptist
hospital rather than Miami Children Hospital. We go to Miami Children now for
all her medical needs. I'm not saying that this will happen to Maiya but
discuss it with the anesthesiologist and decide on what is best for her. Best
of Luck...
