[tri-med] Re: Blood Donation

Elanor will be having spinal fusion surgery soon too.  I asked our 
orthopedist about banking blood as well.  He said it was better that we used 
blood bank blood, as it is usually from repeat donors that give blood 
regularly.  I guess the blood from frequent donors is better than one-time 
or first-time donors because they have been tested and there is something 
about quality.  I thought that was interesting, and makes me feel better 
about not banking blood for Elanor's past surgeries.
