Any toy that

I second that. Anything that lights up and plays sounds. There are many
out there with large easy to push buttons or levers.
One of our favorites was a Fisher price giant gum ball like toy. We got it
at Walmart. It came with several big balls and it had a wide opening on top.
On the side was a large lever that was easy to push. When you push down on
the lever a ball is released and music plays with lights. The child than
(when able to grasp objects) can put the ball back into the opening. The
opening
is large so they should have a good success rate while working on motor
skills.
This was the first toy Birgitta had any success with. It took many sessions
of "put ball in" and hand over hand but she got it. She continues to play
with that toy. Now, however, she pauses after putting a ball into the opening
while she waits for the applause.
