i still send Christmas cards to the group who told us we should terminate
kam.  it's kind of like "here is the vegetable that wouldn't live to come
home from the hospital with us."

Every couple of months, I take Audrey by the OB office (right next door to
her pediatrician) just to say, "HI"  since they said they wouldn't stop
premature labor, they wouldn't do a c-section or basically any thing to help
this "terminal" baby!  We say with a smile, "See, now you can tell people
you do know a Trisomy 18 baby who lived more than a few minutes!"  (Inside
I'm thinking of adding, "you big Jerk" as a postscript)
