[tri-med] Re: Bec's CT Scan

Well the actual Cat scan only took 5 minutes...almost took that long to get
a good vein but they did it. On the down side the contrast made Bec feel
awful which made her mad which caused her to reach up and fold my
glasses...something she does whenever she feels unwell :( which is pretty
frequent when I think about it...anyway the arm came off this time so I am
with out my bifocals :(
But the cat scan is done and now just to wait out the results.
I realized while they are trying to find her vein that I was going to try an
Emla patch this time but forgot all about it till we get to the hospital.
Any one else use them? are they fool proof? I mean, if I use one, say on the
back of her hand which often seems to work as the best spot to get a vein
what are the chances that they would have to use another spot anyway? Any
experience out there?
