"I would like to find a mattress that fits inside the entire tent, a single
mattress is just a little too long"

Annette has what we call a creb, bigger than a crib and smaller than a bed.
Actually, it's a hospital crib. The mattress on this might be what you are
looking for.

Some people has made the comment that they would never put their child in a
hospital crib/bed because it is too institutionilzed but we can't use a bed
with Annette because we have to do medical care with her and a regular bed
would break our backs. We need the height and the rails for fall
precautions.

Cody also has a bath with Paul on days he needs his hair washed. He
hasvery bad eczema so that happens every Sunday morning before church.

Cody just tuned 13 on Jan 6 and moved out of his crib a year ago this past
Oct. His Uncle Mike gave him a race car bed that was set up in his room

and only used for guests. Well I removed the mattress set up his tent
(purchased at Bass Pro) and put his crib mattress inside. He LOVES his new

bed. He also sleeps in a tent with crib mattress at the lake house but that
is on the floor. I just kept the race car bed because we had it! When
ever

we travel Cody sleeps in a tent with an air mattress purchased at Target or
Meijers. We have also used comforters folded up so he can lay on them.

He loves his "TENTS" :(

Hope this helps I got the tent idea from this list some years back. And it
has saved our lives and our backs!

I'd like to know what the bathrooms for the special needs children look like
- especially for the older/taller children.
Claire is slowly outgrowing the tub insert we have for the kitchen sink, so
we need to start planning some sort of remodel, or better yet, an idea for a
simple insert for the tub for bathing.

DH is very tall, so bending over the tub while she is laying down won't work
well - actually for any of us, so our backs are the biggest concern, not as
much with lift as with lather and rinsing.

I don't want a total remodel (can't afford that) and was hoping for simple,
common sense, inexpensive ideas that can help us out.

Other questions I have are regarding her play pen (bed for travel) and
reconstructing the daybed for her room when she gets too tall for the crib.

Thanks in advance,
Debbie, mom to Claire(T18 and getting longer)
