[tri-med] Re: Bathing and traveling (bed)

{i just lay her down in the tub, but it would be sooooo much easier on my knees
and back to have some kind of gigantic wash basin positioned up high...ahhhh
dreams for when i win the lottery!}

We got Nick's bath chair paid for by the new Children's Waiver program. Is
Akaiya on the PUNS list? If you are lucky enough to get into the program, they
allow $15,000 for home modifications every 5 years. We got a lift system and a
bath chair (he is now 88 pounds). I don't know if Medicaid will pay for a bath
chair, but I know our insurance says it's a luxury item. See if anyone on a
list for special needs kids has one that their child grew out of. Darn it, I
had a small one and gave it to someone at Nick's school. Maybe check with
Easter Seals to see if someone could donate one they don't need anymore or
check ebay.

Cindy Cook donated a lot of Jonathan's stuff to Hospice and Easter Seals.
