That's because it messes with her equilibrium and makes her nauseous.
Philina threw up almost everything she ate for the entire 1st 5 months
of her life.  She also had nearly nonstop ear infections.  So with a
'glue ear' dx at 5 months, she got vent tubes.  And wah-la!  No more
pressure on the ears, meant no more perpetual motion sickness, and no 
more vomiting every time she ate.
