Alex received a letter from his soccer club today - it made me
  cry...........

  Dear Alex
The St Patrick's Soccer Club held it's annual general meeting on the 14th of
August to elect office bearers for the 2003 soccer season.

Your name was put forward as an assistant ground controller for the 2003
  soccer season.

I am pleased to advise that you were elected to the position unopposed and
if you accept you will commence your position with the start of the 2003
  soccer season around March 2003

As I have discussed with you at our junior presentation night your role will
be in assisting our committee in the organisation and running of our roo
ball competition on Saturday mornings during the soccer season.

The location of this competition is at this stage a little unclear as we may
be required to play our roo ball competition at the Waratah complex, as room
on Forest Road has become scarce.

There will be no requirement for you to attend our monthly meetings and any
correspondence required by you to fulfil your duties would be forwarded to
  you.

Your first activity will be in round one 2003, however the exact date of
that first game is not known at this time.

Please again accept the congratulations from myself and the rest of the St
Patrick's Soccer Committee upon your appointment.

  Yours in Sport
