<<<<<<<<<<<<Since it has been so long since she had a bottle this is proving
to be a very hard task. In talking with another mother of a T18 baby today
she mentioned that a lot of Trisomy babies die from aspiration pneumonia.
Now I am wondering if it is even worth trying to feed her by mouth.
<<<<<<<<<
When Rebecca was born we tried bottling her and then NG's the rest, found
out that she was aspirating at about 3 months...........since it was thin
liquids that was the problem we tried baby food, probably tried for about 6
years.........she never liked it so we gave up so for the last 8 years of
her life she was exclusively G-tube fed made ours and her life much more
pleasant
