and yes the steroids - depending on the type can effect growth. Some
steroids can stunt growth though too. But remember just because a problem is
"common" within the same chromosome anomaly doesn't mean they will all have
it.
One of the reasons we were looking out for Alex to have problems in that
area was because he was thought to have CHARGE syndrome. One of the
"symptoms" of CHARGE is genital hypoplasia specifically with the boys a
micropenis. Alex doesn't have that (he has scrotal hypoplasia), but children
who do usually score testosterone injections shortly after birth and again
at puberty not just to increase penile size (for managability) but to bring
on puberty. Friends whose children who have these injections are always
surprised at how much the boys grow just from the testosterone (in height)
and this is before growth hormone.

I was talking to someone else the other week about GHT and the other
benefits we often forget such as protection from osteoporosis etc........
