Believe me micropenis is VERY obvious to look at - when I said as thick as a
matchstick I meant it. Its about as round as a match stick and not as long.
If you want to see pictures I am sure there are some on the net. Micropenis
and micro genitalia is actually a symptom of a few disorders including
Prader Willi syndrome. Its not as "obvious" in girls but it does happen
quite a bit actually. Sometimes it can be hard to distinguish micropenis
from an enlarged clitoris - sorry if this is too graphic for folks.
You can also have hypoplastic genitalia which is usually used to refer to
genitalia that is larger than micro but smaller than normal
There are actually growth charts believe it or not - but from memory at this
age (4 - 5 years) I think the testicles should be about 1ml in size and the
penis about as thick as a womans little finger and about 2/3rds as long
(circumcised) But dont take that as gospel I would have to check (I can)
Alex's endocrinologist and his pediatrician keep check on this area of
growth.
This IS embarassing, I am really blushing. Jocelyn I want to know how many
red chillis you get on this e-mail!!!!!!!!!!!
