Dear friends,
My daughter and I and our tragic experience were referred to in this article
that came out today in the Canadian Medical Association Journal.
http://www.cmaj.ca/cgi/content/full/180/7/705
All children are unique and deserving of a diagnosis and treatment plan. If
treatment/surgery is not in their best interests and the parents consent, then
they deserve a dignified death.
Nobody should be left wondering how their child died (or was going to die)
where the lethal quantities of Fentanyl and Morphine that were signed out of
the Narcotic Cabinet went to and why the final, computerized medication report
is inexplicably absent.
If we don't speak out about these things they will become worse. After all,
none of us is genetically perfect.
