I usually end up just smiling politely - but then my brain kicks into gear
and well.............. lets just say I like writing letters............. I
wonder what your doctor would have said to me - I can't / couldn't have any
more children and I am not that old!!

But just along these lines as well. I have become a watcher of the US show
Strong Medicine. (its reasonably new here) I have liked some of the story
lines very much, but was upset to see a statement made by one of the doctors
that it would be better to terminate the pregnancy "now" rather than later
when you become more attached to the baby. I know that there are a lot of
Wings mothers who would disagree with that line of thinking - but having
spoken to many who have taken that option I also know many who would agree.

I think the bottom line on that one is that it is the way the majority of
the medical profession think - yet like all medicine no situation is black
and white, and it should be a very individual decision /consideration......
but then that would mean doctors would have to get to know their patients
and there aren't a lot who bother to do that.
