Lena's aunt found me via the t-14 bulletin board (before Karen had to
discontinue the boards due to law suit potential). She was searching
information for her bro and sil who were scheduled to terminate the
pregnancy a few weeks away at that time.

I dragged Karen into it for her medical knowledge and we had e-mails flying
fast and furious between the USA, Australia and Luxembourg. :0) Talk
about an international effort!!!!! lol

I believe that there were only 3% trisomy cells showing up and absolutely no
markers on the ultrasounds or in fetal growth/development.
This in conjunction with the fact that they had experienced multiple
miscarriages made Karen wonder if perhaps the baby didn't have the trisomy
but the placenta did (left over from a miscarried fetus).

I of course shared pics and Alex's stories........and they were quite
contrary to what the drs had told them to expect.

Anyhow, it took a bit of time but Lena's parents decided to continue the
pregnancy against drs wishes in the final hours.

Lena was born with no apparent issues.
Even now, years later, she continues to thrive and progress. Last I heard
her only issue was she had been very SLIGHTLY behind in achieving
milestones. That was it.
