Penny: Emily initially started with a very low dose. 25mg I think...we
worked it up to 50 mg and stayed there for about 4 months... we began to have
sleep problems again so the doc uped the dose to 75 mg...which I understand
is the highest they will go for her. It has been wonderful!!! Yes, I give
every night at the same time (suppose to) and she falls asleep within 10-15
minutes. It comes in a tablet (50mg) so I give 1 and 1/2 every night. I
dissolve in 15cc of water so I can give it in her g-tube. As for her
behavior, it is much better. She gets a better night sleep and it shows
during the day. PLUS!!! I get a better night sleep and her behaviors are
more managable because I'm not sleep deprived and moody. Trazadone is an
anti-depressent.
