It is prescription. On the website, part of what its makeup is something that
starts with chlorophynel something or other, so it is probably pretty close
to what Alex is already taking. But I get Dom the ZyrtecD, which means a
decongestant is added. We had tried many other allergy combos, RX and OTC, but
this
has just worked the best for him. My doc had given me some samples a few years
back and when we ran out of whatever Dom was taking at the time, I called and
asked doc if I could give him the Zyrtec. It worked so well, once I had used
up all of my samples, filled it a couple of times in my name, just give it all
to him, the doc decided to just prescribe it to Dom as a daily med. When he
was getting on the school bus at 6 AM, I would get him up at 5, and by the time
he was ready to leave, I would give him his am meds and he would go in the
bathroom and barf. That stopped completely once he started taking the Zyrtec.
