I had a 'Duh' moment this morning.
Alex is sick. Sneezing, coughing, runny nose, blood shot eyes, fever and
feeling 'crappy' in his words.
The Duh portion of the program is that he has gotten sick the first or second
week of school for the last number of years and I just saw the pattern today.
I'm thinking that it's the re-exposure to hundreds of people in a confined
space for hours on end some days in a row. With the allergies and his somewhat
lower resistance to bugs/germs he gets hit and then his body begins adjusting.
Alex did wonder if it's the TV Production studio that set him off. He said it
smelled musty. I really hope it's not the room (allergies) because that could
necessitate dropping the 2 hr block class.
Crossing my fingers that this doesn't go into bronchitis or pneumonia.
Back 8-12 years ago lung involvement would have been a guarantee. Now we've
got a chance against it happening (stuff moving into his lungs). Alex is
stronger than he used to be, we're more attuned to what's going on and what he
needs and he's had a good complement of herbals/vitamins/minerals daily for the
last number of years.
