Hi Michelle my friend :o)
As always Our wise and worldy Jocelyn captures just the right words!
However...having said that...Nicholas is now 13 and coming up faster than
I'd like on that magical age of 16 and it scares me spitless and he's not
even a trier!!!! I can't even fathom if it were Devon...heck I'm scared for
him stepping off the sidewalk at school and falling...I'm scared if he
sleeps later one morning....which by the way is what we WANT him to do...but
still on occasion when he does I'm convinced that I'll go in to find him
gone to heaven :o( So you see...while there IS an amazing amount of pride
and AWE I feel for you and Alex at his having accomplished what I would
consider the ummmmmmm.....unaccomplishable??? Is that a word?....I can also
definitely relate to your sky high level of fear!!!! In closing....I'd like
to say HATS OFF TO ALEX and WOOHOOO!!!! And to you Michelle...hats off to
you as well and to Jim too...but mostly reassuring hugs to you
Michelle....everytime those fearful tears come...feel my arms around you
squeezing you ever so gently telling you Alex is wrapped tightly in God's
arms and he is ok....he's just....becoming a man....
Love,
Penny...loving and devoted wife to Joe, the best husband in the world...mom
to Nick (13 yrs old...lover of Yu Gi Oh, RollerCoasters, Chocolate Icecream
with Ovaltine sprinkles), Devon (8 1/2 yrs...lover of Barney, Blue, Bear in
the Big Blue House, Elmo, Stuart Little, and food in general...Full trisomy
13 w/balanced translocation 5 and 13) , and Trooper the Wonder Dog...our 6
or 7 year old male yellow lab adopted from FL Lab Rescue 12/13/02 :o)
Web Pages to come soon...
