Thanks everyone for the thoughts and prayers. They WORKED!!!!!!!!!
It IS the same debacle all over again - BUT this time I am in a position
power - scary huh :-)))

We have been fighting all term for the district to give the school funding
for training and they kept putting up road blocks. Finally they said that
they needed the ped to authorise the training and when I approached him he
said no because he wasn't satisfied that simply sending everyone to a
training course would make them competent. The bottom line was that he got
very hurt last year as well as I and didn't trust them anymore..........

Over the holidays apparently the Teachers Federation (the teachers union
here) got in touch with the district and started threatening all sorts of
things because the teachers were caring for Alex without any
training.......... So now with the threat of industrial action looming they
want to implement the training - yesterday........ Whatever is needed to
appease the ped they will do whatever funding I want has miraculously
appeared along with a lot of extra stuff that would be nice but not
essential - like wheelchair access, disabled toilets and so on.........

I am grinning from ear to ear.................
The same story as last year, but now the worm has turned........ Might be a
good time to ask for a computer for Alex I think :-)))))))
