[tri-med] Re: Acidophilus

Something I just heard from our GP who is very "holistically minded" . . . she 
recommends taking the Acidophilus with the antibiotic and also in between doses 
since the anitibotic does kill that good bacteria, you do not get the full 
benefit unless you take it in between medication.  I thought that made sence.  
I think she said just double the acidolphus and scatter the doses.  We just 
break open the capsules and spinkle it in food.  Soleah and Corey take it fine. 
 It's really amazing at how such a simple thing prevents such an irritating 
side-effect!

Get some Acidophilus from the pharmacy or health food store. We got ours
from the health food store, came in a capsule that be broke open and mixed
with dairy.
Antibiotic related diarrhea is from the "good" bacteria being killed off as
well as the bad bacteria.
. Or some live/active culture yogurt. The live/active is the 'good'
bacteria.
