When Ruth had her cleft repair and g-tube placement they also did the ABR
test. She too has only a mild hearing loss. Joe continues to be unconvinced.
I
have thought that perhaps she hears but her brain cannot process the info.
Hearing about Hannah makes me think that must be the case. I have just been
thinking about sign language in the last few days. The only problem for Ruth
is
that she may also be blind. We haven't been to the pediatric opthamologist
yet. I would love to hear more about how the sign language works for your
family in the future.
