Jennifer,
Thanks, but this is a fairly small town we live in.
I suspect there just aren't many choices. Therefore,
I'm pretty sure I will be filling out the paperwork
and transporting her myself for whatever per mile
they'll pay me to do it. And I know exactly how far
the UCP program is from our front door, cause Doug's
office we moved up here to be closer to was in the
same building...4 1/2 miles each way, and the Easter
Seals office is only about half that far down the same road. However, the
company sold, that office got shut down, he got laid off, and now commutes
the 29 miles
he was trying to avoid in the first place, back the
other direction.
To get to even Easter Seals though there are at least
3 school zones to drive through, and they're planning
on building a 300+ housing development along the route
too in the next year or so. Traffic is already the
pits on that road when everybody is trying to get to
the freeway in the mornings. Well, at least my
schedule is flexible.
