As you all know Alex learnt to use sign language very early in the piece and as
a result I have always had an interest.
One thing that always stands out to me is that there is very little on the
internet for Australian Sign Language, in fact there is
very about Australian Signed Language whether it be Auslan or Signed English.
As a web designer I was always after the Australian signed alphabet as a font -
but it just didn't exist. Well it does now!!!
A wonderful gentleman by the name of John has helped me to create an Australian
signed alphabet font. And I am going to give it to
SOFT Australia to market and benefit from.
It wont bring in a lot of money because even though its technically illegal its
very easy to share fonts. However it may bring in a
few dollars from some honest souls, dollars which SOFT desperately needs.
Perhaps people could buy it for their childrens teachers
etc.
This font is very basic - its the alphabet and numbers, 10's, teens, hundreds
and the sign for love.
John and I will probably come up with a mach2 which will have more signs - its
hard when they are "animated" signs and we are making
them static.
But anyway - it is my gift to SOFT Aus. Let me know if anyone has any ideas for
marketing or of course if you would like to buy LOL.
I will take suggestions for a RRP - but I am thinking $10 plus postage. It can
of course be e-mailed........
If you look up, there are no limits.
